We’re not looking for an assistant manager who only makes schedules, counts the register, and occasionally has a conversation. We’re looking for someone who understands that running a store is top-level performance. Every single day. With a team. With targets. With busy moments. With quiet moments. With customers who walk in for socks and should leave with a complete outfit and a great feeling. In Batavia Stad, we’re looking for an Assistant Store Manager who is on the shop floor — not in the office. Among the team. Among the customers. Someone who sees what’s happening, steps in when needed, coaches where possible, and always leads by example.

You are the right hand of the Store Manager. That doesn’t mean you wait for instructions, but that you think ahead, take initiative, and act as if it’s your own store. You understand numbers, but more importantly: you understand people. You know why one team sells better than another. You know how to improve someone’s performance on the floor. You know how to bring energy to the team on a quiet Tuesday and how to maintain structure on a busy Saturday.

We are not looking for a starter. We’re looking for someone with retail experience, who has already managed a team, worked with targets, and understands what it means when revenue is below or above budget. Outlet experience is a strong advantage, as the pace is high and no day is the same.
